Serbia will celebrate World Ice Skating Day by organizing a Short Track Speed Skating competition Alpe Adria Trophy Serbia Open 2022 in Belgrade, Pionir ice rink. The public audience is allowed to witness and experience the sports and the entrance is free of charge. After the event, free ice time will be provided. We are planning to organize a free skating session with coaches and athletes, a synchro skating show and a free lesson for beginners, and some demonstrations from the students. We will run a social media campaign and will motivate all our clubs in Serbia to organize some events in order to celebrate WISD. The main goals of this public awareness campaign are to increase the general public and other stakeholders’ awareness of the great importance of ice-skating sports for health and wellbeing. Regardless of age or ability ice skating is a sport out there for everyone.
