Cholula, Puebla: We plan to have WISD amidst our National Championship, since Dec 3rd its the last day of the competition. This will create a very festive environment for everyone to enjoy the celebration, and is a reminder of Why they started skating in the first place. It's the perfect opportunity to make our sport more visible, and conquer the main challenge it faces in Latin American countries: Acknowledgement. At Ice Arena we will also have a Gala with our best skaters from all levels, including our very own recent Olympian Donovan Carrillo, and several skaters from the Mexican Olympic Committee’s Special Olympic’s team, (figure skaters and short track); we will also have a special performance of Ice Theatre; and free skating time and lessons for the general public. Also the WISD dance and snacks! Everything will be broadcasted through our Federation’s Youtube channel. The other confirmed venues are the following: Deportivo Alpino Chipinque , Deportivo San Agustin Pista Fundidora all from the State of Nuevo Léon. La Pista Coyoacán from Mexico City, Pista de Hielo Santa Fe from Mexico City and Ice Gallerie from Yucatán. They will have a Gala of their best skaters, games, free skating, beginners’ lessons, performing of the WISD and, last but NOT least, Cake!
